The basic course for beginners: why security concerns everyone and what each person can concretely do.

Security rarely fails because technology is missing, but because understanding is. This course creates a shared foundation – without jargon and without wagging fingers. Participants understand how attacks really unfold, why they of all people are an attractive target, and where their own behaviour makes the difference.

Structure

This is how the course is built up. I agree the order and focus with you in advance, based on your audience and prior knowledge.

  1. Fundamentals & threat landscape

    Protection goals explained clearly, plus the current threat landscape based on real incidents instead of abstract statistics.

  2. Attack paths in everyday work

    Phishing, social engineering, ransomware and CEO fraud – how attacks really unfold.

  3. Everyday protection

    Passwords, password managers and MFA, handling data and cloud securely, home office and travel.

  4. Reporting & legal framework

    A good reporting channel in practice and the legal framework (GDPR, NIS2) from the employee perspective.

  • The current threat landscape based on real incidents instead of abstract statistics
  • Attack paths in everyday work: phishing, social engineering, ransomware, CEO fraud
  • Passwords, password managers and multi-factor authentication
  • Handling data, cloud services and mobile devices securely
  • Home office, travel and shoulder surfing
  • Report instead of hide: what a good reporting channel looks like
  • The legal framework in brief: GDPR and NIS2 from the employee perspective
